$15 better than a Pop-R?

I have some that sure as heck are worth it - - but out of about a dozen RICO's, only a few behave extremely well.....I have one that walks the dog with incredible ease - better than any of the others, so there's some inconsistency going on there.

I think that it really depends on the water clarity that you are fishing.  I used to live around a deep clear lake (Smith Mountain Lake, VA) and now I live in the Charlotte area where the lakes typically have more color to them.  In VA I swore by my Rico's but down here where the clarity isnt as good, I think it evens it out more and I also believe that a louder rattle helps out more instead of the subtle Rico.  I will still through a Rico over a Rebel though.  It might be by habit or due to the level of confidence I have built in the Rico from my VA days.

I just can't see it....For those of you who like to jump, no, I dont own a Rico.  But I also dont have any issues with my Pop R's    :)

Yes!

Most assuradly.

One of the best topwater poppers, if not the best topwater popper you can buy.

Great hook sets; good action in the water; easy to use.

May I suggest getting one and trying it out.

Yeah,

I'm kinda partial to the rico myself.  Tried many a popper in my day, and this on seems to be the best.

Of course my buddy SteveP a man who knows a thing or two about bass says"they both pop and splash water, what's the difference"

I find it hard to argue with such clarity, but still............................

I love my rico's

As willzx stated above, Rico's are killer in the clear waters of Smith Mtn Lake. Back when the Rico's first came out you could've sold them for $100 bucks a pop around here. I have a few of the older Rico's left and there are times that its the only topwater I will throw or have to throw. It's hard to put down at times. I believe they are worth the extra $.

Quit sittin' on your wallet Burley, get some Rico's and come on up here in May.

How do the Rico's compare to the Megabass PopMax? They seem to be in the same price range so I was wondering.
