What's wrong with having your rods an reels reviewed here ?

If your rods/reels aren't current models, you probably won't find reviews for them on any of the major chains' websites (BPS, Cabela'a, etc.). However, if you google the model numbers you can sometimes pull up the old reviews for your items from these same retailers. There's just no direct link from their respective sites. Make sense?

When I am looking for reviews on reels I will do a couple of things:

1. tackletour.com, sometimes you need to google the reel name and then tackletour after it. I don't agree with all their reviews, but for the most part they do a good job

2. ask on this site, or do a search because most every reel out there has been discussed

3. tackle warehouse, basspro, cabelas, gander mountain, and other online stores will have a review section, but I usually get the least information from there

4. google search, sometimes other fishing forums have good reviews as well
