250 dollar budget

Featured Replies

Im looking for a new freshwater rod reel set up. I prefer a spinning reel over bait caster. Needs to be from bass pro because i have gift cards thanks in advance

Personally I would get the Carbonlite/Sahara combo.

You will have money left over for other goodies as well.

For all around freshwater fishing, since you don't specify any particular technique......

Try this for a reel.... President 6735

And this for a rod...AVS66MF (6'6") or AVS70MF (7') if you want a longer rod.....

I think you will be happy with these and within your budget. JMHO

Go to BPS and ask to see the clearance stuff. Tell 'em what you are after. Most likely someone there will know just what the hot deals are. I just did the same and was shocked at what I came away with. You will likely end up with a chunk of spare change to ... take your wife out ::).
