Kind of a stupid question

Recommended Posts

Well I got my Curado's in today and I've noticed they're pretty much covered with oil.  I take it that they have been over-oiled from the factory lol.  My question is should I take the reels apart, clean, and re-oil them?  If so, does anyone have directions on how to do this, and what all needs to be oiled?  I haven't taken a baitcaster apart before to service them.  Thanks.

I would send them back. Have the seller

replace or clean them up. Covered in oil

is not "normal".

If you decide to keep them, have the reels

professionally serviced. You don't "practice"

on new Curados.

>:D
