Flourocarbon fishermen??

I have tried and like the store brands from cabelas and bass pro's xps. I also like both the yo-zuri hybrid and yo-zuri ultrasoft. I am by no means an expert, nor even very experienced, but for value, the yo-zuri far outdistances everything. You can get 600 yard spools from cabelas everyday for 13 bucks, everything else seems to be 14 to 25+ for 250-275 yards.

Yo Zuri is not a fluorocarbon, as it's name suggests it is a FC/nylon blend.

x4 on the invizx and yozuri being a great bargain. I was lucky once to find yozuri in 12# for $6 for a 600 yard spool.

For those who dislike how wirey and unruly some fc lines can be, try Invizx. I have not seen an fc line more limp and manageble, especially for finesse purposes. If anyone has given up on fc because of its stiffness or unmanageability, I'd bet a floating rapala that they haven't tried Invizx.

And like other lines, no two fc lines are equal.  It would be the equivalent of trying one braid or mono and having a bad experience and thinking the same line tyoe from other makers is going to act exactly the same.

I use XPS Floro for all my cranking and it is completely invisible under the water and has good abrasion resistance. Tried Vanish and it had terrible abrasion resistance. I did use Seguar Invisix on a friends rod and that seemed like nice line as well and presented no problems.

I use the XPS fluorocarbon and love it.  I use a palomar knot almost exclusively and have had no problems as long as you wet the knot before cinching it down and tighten it SLOWLY.  Fluorocarbon will burn if you tighten the knot dry or quickly and loses a lot of strength if that happens.  I don't use it on spinning rigs but I do use a flouro leader on spinning rods.  After switching a few rods to fluorocarbon I realized before long that I had switched nearly every rod to it.  Braid is a thing of the past now except for 65# braid on my rat rod and mono no longer has a place in my boat.  (Yes, I use fluorocarbon for topwater applications as well.)  That being said, XPS is my favorite but I also like TripleFish.....

trilene 100% flouro, and gamma flouro works the best for me. i really like drop shotting with flouro or co polymer line because it doesn't stretch as much when i pull back for a light hook set. i also like using it for my flipping and pitching because it has much more feel and abrasion resistance.
