the 7'11" for deep cranking.  seen this rod in person and love it.  I will be using this combo exclusively for deep cranking.  I will be throwing dd17 dd22 and series 6 and a few bomber deep divers.  what reel would u guys suggest i have been using a mid-grade pflueger for this task and i really dont trust it.  any suggestion would be apprecited.  oh spending range is up to $150 give or take.  thx

What ever you get, it should be a 5 to 1 ratio or your wrists will pay at the end of the day.  Quality cranking reels seem to run closer to $200.00.  BPS has a Pro Qualifier at 5 to 1 and I hear it's a good performing reel. I sprung for a Revo Winch and love it. Why don't you trust your Pflueger ? Oh well, good luck. ;)
