Quick tip i am a bank fisherman and i like to carry about 4 rods with me 2 spinning rods and 2 baitcasting rods . I saw this tote at BPS and Cabela's i want to know from you guys how do u carry about 4 or more rods with you when bank fishing ? Also i want to know if you have had this tote for rods and are they worth the money ?

I'd only take out the rod I plan to use at the moment and leave the others on the holder. Would you take them all off? I can see the pros of having them off of the rack but as you mentioned the extra work required to put them back on every time I move is enough of a con would make me keep all of them on the holder except the one I plan to use at the moment.

I'm interested in getting something to transport 4 or 5 combos as well. I was looking at the Cabela's Pro Rod Bag.

I've got that one, its called the anglers tote and it works well, holds up to 8 combos if they are mostly smaller low profile reels.  I also modified the top bracket and remove the hangers so its more streamlined.  Its an easy way to transport 8 combos and keep them organized in the truck but I don't take it to the water.

I used to carry about 5 rods with me bank fishing. I never used any type of carrier, I simply just grabbed all the rods around the blanks above the foregrips and hauled them to the next spot. Of course I did take just a minute to arrange them so that the reels didn't hang up all over each other, all the rods were at the center of the mass and the reels were sticking out around the outside edges of it. Made them easy to carry and I never had a problem. I still do this when I go fishing on the bank.

Also where I grab them at is where most rods have the hook keepers located. I get around this by not using the hookkeeper. I hook to the last lineguide frame (not the insert). Contrary to popular belief, this does NOT hurt the rod in the least (think about it, the hookkeeper and lineguides are attached to the blank using the same methods :). Only way I could see the hook loosening the lineguide any would be if the drag was locked down tight and you had the rod drawn into a bend while hooked this way. None of this ever happens with my rods.
