Good floro for Jig fishing

Featured Replies

Im looking for a good florocarbon line for jig fishing around rocks, boulders laydows etc...

also what pound test for this i was thinking 20# floro

I recently started using Sufix Fluoro and its awesome :)

Before I had tried Trilene 100% and didnt like the memory. I use 15, but I've always liked lighter line than most guys. I think the lower visibility benefit outweighs the risk of breaking off every now and then. 15 is plenty for Indiana bassin! 8-)

20lb Seaguar AbrasX..good stuff. :)

The 17lb Trilene 100% FC has proven itself to me time and again in some NASTY wood cover.  I've used the 20 in extreme circumstances and its never let me down.  It may have a bit more memory than some lines (SUNLINE), but I've never used anything less than a 1/2oz. bait in heavy cover at close range with such heavy line which has made up for any memory issues that may be present.

All of the above are great suggestions.

What about braid?

Just wondering why you don't want to use braid in the structure you are fishing?  :)

I use 14lbs Seaguar AbrazX and have had no problems.

Later, :)
