Sweet JDM Revos

Featured Replies

Because shallow spools are either for vertical jigging, not casting, or really light line (2-3lb test).

yeah but they are saltwater reels, so your not gonna be using 2 lb line, at least any saltwater fishing I've ever heard of. Also, why a shallow spool for vertical jigging? Jigging in 150 feet of water, fish takes out drag.... look out! ;)

PE line

Oh. but I'm still confused as to why you would rather have a shallow spool. I understand what you would use it for, but why not just a normal spool.

Alot of the JDM stuff is amazing. Seems they have all the new technology from reels down to the bait. But, ouch it hurts the wallet.

I've got 22 lb test PE with the diameter of 1.5 lb test on one of my spinning reel spools and another with 15 lb test with the diameter of 1 lb test.  Carry that out to 50 lb test with the diameter of 4 lb test and you don't need a spool that's very deep.

those are some of the most non JDM looking revo's I have ever seen.. thatsa like posting the JDM skeet revo and saying wow what a sweet JDM reel

Japan scores again. Sure would be nice to get some of these in the US for those of us that fish a lot of brackish water.

What's wrong with the Inshore?
