Hello folks, I've been lurking around for a while since I found this site and decieded to ask a question if I may...

I've been Bass fishing for many many years and I've used mostly mono line because thats all there was.

Now we have florocarbon and braid which has it's use's and which I still do.

Now there is "copolymer"

I'd like to ask...

What is this stuff???

When do you use it?

For what type of lures?

What knots work best?

Is it closer to Mono, Braid, Floro or is it totally different?

Does it float, sink or just kinda hang there?:}

Any info you can give me about it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

[movedhere] General Bass Fishing Forum [move by] five.bass.limit.

click the Fishing Articles tab on the upper left of every forum. It's a good place to start gathering info.

I just started using gamma copoly. Its great stuff. Soft and supple like mono, very limp. I use a palomar knot with every line and it works great for me. Copoly is most like mono.

Welcome.

Copolymer is mono , fluorocarbon combination. A good line to use around rocks . I usually use it for cranks but would not be afraid to use it for any technique.

McCoy Mean Green and Yo Zuri Ultra soft are two good ones.
