Light Tackle Setup

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Looking to buy a light tackle setup for largemouth bassin'. Budget is not a concern as of right now. Preferably a spinning outfit, but if casting fits the ticket fire away. Thanks.

There are plenty of rods to choose from so I won't comment on that, but as for the reel the Shimano Stradic CI4 will be as good as you can get for spinning.

Spinning:

SJR843S/ 2500 CI4 or Stella 2500FD if price is not important

Baitcasting: MBR842C/ Core 50MG7

;D ;D ;D

Stradic CI4 and Cumara for spinning.

Sol on a moderate action casting rod like a Crucial Crankbait or Loomis crankbait rod.

how light? what lure weights will you be throwing?

check out loomis' sjr line in IMX or GLX

i just bought the sjr782 imx

Monster Tackle has 25% off of Loomis rods with free shipping

Code is: Loom25

If price is not an issue, get the Loomis SJR782 in GLX and a Steez spinning reel.
