I had a day of "Firsts" yesterday...

It was my first time using my new baitcaster...

It was my first time using flourocarbon line...

It was my first time using the "Wacky Worm"...

On my first cast, busted a two pounder!!

I've kinda ignored the Senko craze lately becuase I figured it was for bigger lakes or for everyone but me... I mean I know what works for my canal, right? I turn on the tv and my show "Hook n Look" is on... one was fishing with the Coffee Tube, and the other the Senko. Wacky worm outperformed the coffee tube at least 5 to 1. So i tried it.... went to wal-mart, bought the "Wave Worm" and lo and behold, Vanish Transition for $7!! I am a Trilene user for many years and could not justify the additional cost for flouro... well now it was the same price as trilene. The first three knots I tied broke... >:o I switched to the recommended Trilene knot and it worked like a charm!

sorry for everyone with ice still on the lakes or going through some rough weather (also, anyone who was or knows anyone invloved in the tornadoes, my families prayers are with you)...

I hope my fishing story can bring light to your day or help with your decision on what to throw when bass season returns!

I'll never forget the first day I used Fluorocarbon line.  I must have set the hook  ten times in the first cast.  The sensitivity took getting used to.

Im using fluoro for the first time this year when the ice melts and the gods decide its time for me to get out and do some fishing. I am also going to widen the variety of baits i use. For years ive been a live bait/spinnerbait person and i think with a little patience i can do well. The lakes near me hold some monster waiting to be caught and on one particular lake i fish on there are only a few dozen people who have permission to fish the whole 10 acre lake :o Thank god i am included in that dozen  ;D

ya i live inmichigan and the weather is crazy,

it snows

it melts

and the following week is 50 degrees, then we get like 5 inches of snow again overnight

ftw!!!
