Good deal on rod????

Featured Replies

I found a GLoomis GL2 6'6" heavy action for 40 bucks. This is a well used rod,and it looks like it may be a few yrs old. Is this a good deal?

for $40 I would buy it in a heart beat unless there are huge gouges in the cork or missing/bent guides, snapped tip. dirty don't matter. also check to make sure the blank is straight some people store their rods with the line so tight the rod is bent, eventually, I have heard, the rod will take on a bit of a bend in the blank. give it a good look and if all checks out BUY IT.

Thats a good entry level rod and a good price on a rod that will serve you well. Like KMS399 said check it out and if it looks good buy it. that rod @ 40 bucks well out preform any rod you can buy at 40 dollars.
