Avid 7' MH Xfast

I have the LTB in the same action, but how similar are these two?  I want another Senko/Ika rod, and am thinking of the Avid would do it.  I remember someone saying that they're a really nice rod for that purpose, but then I also recall someone else saying I wouldn't be happy with the rod for that purpose, based on what the LTB feels like.

It's either the Avid or another Cumara.  Any advice?

I have a 7'MH-F avid but no experience with the LTB.  I didn't know they made an XF, wait, I see it's new this year.  I like the 7'MH but it feels heavy to me, I've heard others say that too.  I would say there is a weight and balance difference between the two.  Have you been able to handle the rod?

I use the 7' MH Avid for frogging. I've never handled the MXF Avid, but I'd bet the tip is much softer. My guess is it would make a nice spinnerbait rod.

Take a look at the AVC68MXF, I think you will like it better

for soft plastics.

Thanks RW.  Now that I think about it, you'd pointed out that same rod for the application in question another time.
