Headlamp Help

Featured Replies

I do a lot of low-light and night fishing.  I'm looking for a headlamp that doesn't use a cycle switch.  I have a headlamp that cycles between red light, low white, high light, narrow beam, wide beam, etc.  It's annoying if I just want to turn the red light on and off to have to cycle through all settings.  Correspondingly, if I want to just turn on and off the low white light, I have to cycle through all settings each time I turn it on and off.

Are there any lights that don't use a cycle switch?

Petzl headlamps are awesome.  This one has a red filter you put over the lens, no cycling.

$40-$45

Ray-O-Vac. Has only red led, white led, and white bulb. Three way switch. You do have to turn it all 3 clicks from red to bulb , or back .

Costs @ $25.

Try BPS.  I bought one there a couple of years ago for something like $10.

My local Lowe's has a great selection of headlamps.  Bought mine there.  Not sure about the cycle thing, but it might be worth checking out.

All I want is a clip light for the bill of a ballcap that isn't made like a piece of shite. A well made l.e.d. light with METAL clips. Is that asking too much ?

Every one I've owned so far has been a disappointment.

Lowe's sells a camoflage cap with built in leds (2 of them ) in the bill. I have one and they work great.

There is an on/off button built in to the bill too.
