They are tank strong, I got one but I am a Revo man and just couldn't get  used to the different feel since my other 10 reels are Revos.  The drag is stupid strong and from what I have heard the customer service is great.  If you are looking for one pm me and I will make you a deal on mine, only used it 2-3 times, still have the box and all.

I don't understand why someone would want to limit themselves with such a highly specialized niche reel.

If you are flippin' It looks like the perfect reel.  Spool on 50lb plus braid and the monster drag would take a big fish to slip it.

I have 7 Ardent reels dont have the pitching reel but mine are top notch great reels. I think I'd just get a regular Ardent reel and call it my pitching reel then you could use it for Worming, and C - rigging as well as maybe swimbaits on a heavy rod. Just a thought

Got the F500 a couple years ago. I have it spooled with 55lb Samuari matched to a Fenwick HMG 7'6"MH and love it. The best advantage it has is once you get used to it, it's pretty much idiot proof. I think if you don't need a reel for other uses and it will only be used for flippin/pitchin, you can't go wrong with the Ardent.

I have a F-700 its the Blue one.. I dont use it much because I fish Daiwas and the weight is to much when your used to fishing the reels I do. I did use it for a while and I have to say it works GREAT the thing will pitch a mile and a half even with light stuff I have it spooled with Toray Bawo Finesse Braid 66lb and it used to sit on a Steez Compile-X 8' and had caught a lot of fish on it but like I said it got old really quick because it weighs twice as much as most of my reels and you can feel that extra weight big time after a few hours of pitching so it sits in the fishing room now.

If you want one thats mint let me know ill hook you up on the price.
