6'6" MH

Featured Replies

what would you use this rod for? i have one but i dont really like it. maybe im just not using it for the right style.

Topwater, weightless plastics, finesse presentations, small jigs...

6'8 MH is my favorite bottom contact rod. G Loomis GLX BCR803.

topwaters/jerkbaits

Most of my gear is 7'6" or longer...but a shorter length/shorter handled rod is a must for jerkbait/walk-the-dog type baits.

What's the brand ?That might be the problem.

Single hook techniques - buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, 3/8+ oz soft plastics.

I have a MH/F rod that's 6'6".  I use it for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, carolina rigs, and ripping lipless crankbaits through grass too.

Bottom bouncing jigs, craws, worms lizards,....spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, traps, deep cranks.....frogs, chuggers, poppers....this rod length and action is good for pretty much any presentation or bait.

I have a St. Croix MBC66MHF and I love it for all kinds of stuff, from T-rigs to jigs and some topwater stuff.  I haven't tried it on cranks yet, but was thinking about using it for shallow square bills and lipless.

Anyone think that's a fair idea?
