Hello all, 1st post and glad to be here. What I have is: Shimano Convergeance CVC-70H and CVC-66M (both fast, both B-casters). Would like to hear opinions on what each one might be suited for. I would like to stick with just these 2 BCs in addition to a Med-F spinning that I plan on purchasing for senkos and whatever else it might be suited for. I'm a newbe and think it's best that I learn to fish what I have before starting to fill a closet. Thanks for all and any relies in advance.

I would use the 7' rod for jigs, plastics, C-rigs, and frogs. Use the 6'6" rod for cranks, spinnerbaits, topwater, and jerks. That should be a good starting point and then if you decide you like it you can get into the more specific tackle.

I started out with the same model  Convergence Rods some years ago and I used them for exactly what bluebasser recommended they did me proud for several years the 6'6 even landed one of the 9lbs on my wall.

I'd agree with bluebass except for the crankbaits. I'd throw them on the spinning gear unless you get another baitcast setup with a softer tip.
