Very strong rumour within the past week is that Gander Mountain is going to ink a deal to takeover the old K-mart store at I-55 and HWY 141 in Arnold.  The complex is already being torn up and re-developed and the local rag indicated that the deal is probably already signed.

At walking distance from the house, it looks like I see a PT job in the future.   ;D

   I grew up right by you in Oakville. Dunns was my favorite store in the world.    They are getting ready to open a new Bass Pro Shops here in Kansas City that is 10 minutes from my house.

  My wife says she cant wait because she is tired of driving 45 minutes to our other Bass Pro and Cabelas.  I dont think she realizes how much more she'll be going to the new one.      ;D

Yeah, I live out here in St. Peters....They're building a Dick's at Mid Rivers Mall and it's opening in summer of '08.

Shoot, I forgot about Dicks completely.   ;D  

I also heard an "unsubstatiated" rumor of else a BPS or Cabelas going in at Greenmount Plaza just outside O'Fallon, IL.  That was a couple months ago and haven't heard anything since so I would mark it up just as a rumor..... but you never know... lotsa farm land out there.

I worked at that Kmart when I was still at good old Fox High.  Awww the memories, I couldn't stand that place!  

I don't know how much money I have spent at Dunn's.  Luckily I had a friend in high school that worked there so I got some pretty hefty discounts.  His brother works there now so it works out pretty good.

Another baitmonkey spot is the Gateway Outfitters in St. Peters at highway 70 and the Cave Spring exit.

Gateway has a lot of good stuff...and at a really good price too.
