scobieman Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 i started with spinner bait, went to rattle traps, then to carolina rig. when i got to the points, i went to tubes. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 23, 2008 Super User Posted April 23, 2008 I have a story about high water on Bull Shoals in this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1208869046/18#18 BTW, Welcome aboard! 8-) Quote
scobieman Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 thanks for the welcome. i just "assumed" the fish were in spawning mode and was fishing the new shore lines. with the original shore lines so deep, that thought never crossed my mind. so you believe the spawn has been delayed due to the excessive waters? oh, thanks for the link! Super User roadwarrior Posted April 23, 2008 Super User Posted April 23, 2008 Check this fishing report from time to time: http://www.bullshoals.com/fishingreport/ The fishing probably sucks right now, otherwise Ricky would have updated since 4/8... edit: The fishing report was just updated (4/21). 8-) Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 23, 2008 Super User Posted April 23, 2008 Fishing in Missouri, especially south of I-70, has been absolutely trashed this spring due to the high and muddy water. The fish seem like they're in a shutdown type mode and won't get back into a spawning ritual until things stabilize. Quote
