Valascus Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Well fellas, I am considering throwing together another one of these MO get togethers for sometime this spring...preferably to coincide with prespawn. I just wanted to throw a thread out there to guage the level of interest. Any takers? Quote
BassChaser57 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I am going to Lake Fork the 1st week of April so when and where would this be held?? YES I am interested. Quote

Not sure yet, but it's a pretty safe bet that it'll be later than the first week of April. I'm gonna change a few rules this time too. This time there will be a weigh in and an admission fee which will be used as prize money, and if we have enough money, some will go towards Big Bass. Quote
ring fry Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 If the date works out, I'll come back for round 2. Quote
jaskoh Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I might be interested depending on date and location. Quote
RottManK9 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 ab-sa-tiza-lutely, ninerMan and I will be there. When and Where? We need to know which boat to bring! Quote
brian1976 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I would be interrested! When and where. Quote
Valascus Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 The when will more than likely be late April. I am looking at the weekend of April 26th in particular or possibly the first weekend in May. Depends on which date works best for the most folks. This year I'd like to fish a larger impoundment. Little Dixie was great, but it is a small lake, and it fishes even smaller. Such is the case with most smaller lakes. I am considering reviving the idea of having the tournament based out of PB2 or the Larry R. Gale Access point of the Lake of the Ozarks. I would have to look up regattas for that access period to see if having a tournament out of there around that time of the year is even feasible. Any other thoughts or ideas for a possible location or date? Lake Access Points: http://www.funlake.com/marine/ramps.php#8 Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 PB 2 gets pretty busy whether there is a tournament or not. I'll throw Coffman Beach (Gravois arm) and Shawnee Bend (MM 11) into the mix. Quote
harshman Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I like Coffman if we go towards a big lake. I would also vote for little dixie again. I would like a chance at redemption with that @#$*! Lake Harshman Quote

Valascus Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 I'll start taking a look into getting a regatta for the Coffman Beach area. What date will work the best for most folks? April 26th or May 3rd? Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 6, 2008 Super User Posted February 6, 2008 Either or but I'd prefer the 26th. Quote
Valascus Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 Alright, I am going to put in a regatta for April 26th at the Coffman Beach Access Area. I think I am going to have to make the starting time 8:00am that way anyone driving from their home to the tournament will have time to make it there on time and not have to leave at 3am. Quote
Valascus Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 So much for the LOZ around the end of April. I guess some folks sent in their regattas before mine. The 26th is pretty much eaten up at any location at LOZ. This being the case, and since their has been some interest shown, I suggest moving it back to last seasons location of Little Dixie. Heck, we all know there are some hawgs in there anyway. The only problem I can see is if we are going to do a weigh in, what should the length limit be set at? All fish between 12" to 15" has to be released immediately, making it kind of difficult to keep any for a weigh in. I am also kicking around the idea of shortening the length limit for the fish to count towards the limit since everyone and their brother was catching fish in the 13-14.75" range. Quote
M_Fields. Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Is it to late to sign up? How far is it from St. Robert? I should be able to make it. Thanks. M_Fields Quote
harshman Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I'm all in favor of little Dixie. Maybe we can just have a vote before launch on what to do for the length limit? Harshman Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 22, 2008 Super User Posted February 22, 2008 ;D Who needs a boat? We'll all meet on the east side of the lake and fish off the rock jetties. That's where everyone will head anyway! ;D Quote
