Berkley Beast

Featured Replies

Hey, I just got a few bags of these cause they were on sale for an extremely low price, so I just wanted to know how you guys are fishing them. I made a search on them, but all I found were people talking about "beasts regarding their fish" and a few saying they use it as a jig trailer.

So how you guys fishing these, as a flipping bait like the sweet beaver? Or mainly as a jig trailer? Are they a productive bait?

Just want to share this quote with you from one of the bassproshops.com reviews: "This bait is amazing.I've almost caught a

couple fish but I think I rigged it wrong. Great bait." Wha??

i really really like them  and use them all the time but never as a jig trailer  i flip the 5inch ones but i normally fish them in the spawn  great bait just put on a shakeyhead or football head and put them on a bed and boom   i like the 3inch  great river bait

These are great baits on a Carolina rig.  The flat body style gives them a good glide.  I rig them on EWG hooks.

They also work well with a worm weight and picthed/flipped.

Not a bad bait to try when you want to throw something different.

The Beast is a good bait.  I use the 3" on a shakey head.  Also one day I was on a good Fat Ika bite and ran out of Ika's so for some reason I decided to rig a 3" beast backwards (thinking that would be my closest substitute in my tackle box). Well, it worked..caught a few bass that day but have not tried it since.

hello, i use the beast [breen] on the evo jig works great. but i also love them t-rigged 5/0 ewg  1/8 weight swimming kills them in nh glty

I love the beast in a few different colors. My favorite is by far Breen color. I use them on a Owner Sled Head screw in weight/hook combo. This will keep them in better shape. Also, the Sled head helps the bait stand up, kind of like using it on a spot remover.

They are a GREAT bait. They have caught a lot of fish for me.
