Hey guys, Just curious if anybody is fishing Eastern Kansas or Western Missouri. Wondering if anybody was having luck.

it's def slowed down.  Been out to Hillsdale a couple times this month and zero'ed both times.  Had a little luck at some of the smaller local lakes.  

Where have you been going?

Went to Ft. Scott city lake yesterday morning.  Buddy and I caught 20.  Nothing over 2.5# and mostly on spinner baits.  Did catch a 12# channel on a baby brush hog under a dock. ;D

Fished Clinton lake and caught some real nice ones last saturday in the rain. 5lb'er and a 3lb'er. Little tougher bite sunday during tourney with totally different weather conditions.

Also fished Banner Creek by Holton a bout a month ago and did fairly well.

taking a 5 # bass out of clinton is a big deal. taking any bass out of clinton over 12" is a big deal. our bass club dropped that lake due to not being able to catch numbers of bass.

were still snagging a few at louisburg and typicaly cedar lake.

I love banner creek!!!  Thanks for helping me remember the name, cuz i forgot what it was.... if u fish banner go south of the d**n and there is a creek channel that runs through there with a bunch of trees and grass up on the shallows... u can tear some fish up out there at this time of the year

Did some night fishing at Lonestar over the weekend. Friday AM I had 23 in hand and lost several including one in the 4 to 5 pound range...line snapped at boat. Went back out monday AM and had 21 in hand including my first elusive Lonestar small mouth which came in at 4lb,4oz ;D...caught another 4lb,2oz LM a few hours later but didn't seem to be big deal compared to the smallie I caught earlier that night.

I've been fishing some home lakes, Crawford State Lake, and Bone Creek Lake. Been doing decent. The bite slowed down with the heat, but it's picking back up. Should be some good fishing at the tourny tomorrow night, High is 74. 8-)

we did well at olathe lake. paola is hit and miss. theres always kill creek. you have to rotate to the better fishing.O

The bite did seem off some last weekend. I don't fish the docks much anymore but thats not to say there isn't any fish on them....they just get fished alot. I fish along the rocks including the dam face. The point just to the left of the east ramp holds fish here lately as does the west bank rocks on the main body of the lake. I catch fish going into the stick up cove as well on the left side. Been fishing big black and blue plastics t-rigged for the most part...paca craws and brushhogs. Now this info works for me but I fish super early mornings if not nights. I haven't been on the water past 8:30am in two months. Good luck.

What place around Kansas City do people fish?  I have been to Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo  and not caught a single thing.  There has to be some place close to here besides places over in Kansas.

all depends on if youre bank fishing or have a boat. from blue springs id go to james a reed to bank fish. as far as boat fishing in mizzery i have no clue.

Has anyone caught any smallmouths out of Kill Creek? It says that they are stocked in there. I have only fished there one time and caught only largemouths.

rumor is they are in there. ive never caught them and ive tried.........

I have fished there probably close to 50 times since the lake has opened. I caught one 3 or 4 years ago for a lifetime grand total of 1 smallie.

So here she is .... drum roll please .... my one and only PB smallie ........ ;D ;D

thats a good lookin smallmouth. Too bad they aren't many more in there.
