Caddo Lake Tx

Featured Replies

I got a surprise opportunity to fish Caddo Lake in Tx at the end of the month.  I'm not familiar with this lake and wondered if anyone on this forum might have experience there?  I'll be staying near Uncertain TX.

I have only fished the lake twice and it was in the middle of the summer. It is a slot lake, lots of cypress trees, and litterally choked with vegetation. There are some large bass in the lake.  We fished along the boat cuts throwing up next to the vegetation and to the trunks of the cypress trees with worms and spinner baits.  Our biggest bass was 18"   Dutch

Don't know how long you are staying, but you are only @ 2 hour trip to Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend from there. If the prospects do not look great at Caddo there are guys on here that will help you with some patterns on the other two. Good luck either way!
