Question for Catt

Featured Replies

I am going to fish six mile on sat. I don't know if you guys got any rain up there, if so did it stain up the water? Or is it still pretty clear? I am in the process of rigging all my gear up and need to know which x rap I should go with. A shad pattern(silver/black back) or my purple and chartruese. This will also help me with my fluke selection. Thanks in advance.

The south end is clear on the main lake with creeks stained-muddy in the backs. With generator #2 running 24 hours creating current it will pull more stained water towards the main lake.

Shad patterns on hard baits & watermelon neon, watermelon candy, or Red Bug on plastics.

Six Mile 10-18' outside grass line out towards the mouth ;)

Bigtimfish, my two cents, just to reinforce what Catt said... I had a buddy fish the mouth of Sandy Creek last weekend (on the Sandy Creek side of that point that projects toward the island at the end of Six Mile) and he and his partner caught all of their keepers in 16-18' of water on the outside grass line with Tx-Rig trick worms.  He said he caught a bunch of 13-inchers in shallower water, with various topwater baits and plastics, but his keepers were coming from deep water.

Since Sandy Creek and Six Mile are right next to each other, I figured I'd throw this out there for your information...  I know it doesn't answer your direct question, but it does reinforce what Catt suggests!

Good luck!  I'll be trying to figure out Rayburn this weekend...

Catt, are water temps still running 70? With this passing front, think the fish will be tight to cover for the next couple of days?

Do you know any of the T Bend guides? Randy Colson,Greg Crafts,Joe Joslin and Darrell Lyons? If you do, which one would you reffer someone to use.

Those are all good I would suggest Stephen Johnson  ;)
