Guide Advice

Featured Replies

I am fishing Table Rock Lake in the middle of June for the first time and from what I understand its quite different than the off colored small lakes I fish up here in Iowa.  As such I am going to bite the bullet and do something I have never done before and hire a guide.  Does anyone have a recommendation? As a side note on guide etiquette what is appropriate to tip a guide?  If y'all prefer not to post on open forum please IM me.  Thanks...

I've never hired one of these guys, but here is a list of guides for TRL that I've heard from others are very good:

Bill Babler

Bill Beck

Don House

Eric Prey

Joe Hreha

Good luck!

Tip is just like a restaurant, 10-20%.

You can add Buster Loving Jerry Snyder and Tim Sainato to that list.

If I were hiring it would be Babler or Loving.
