Toledo Bend meet up

Featured Replies

I was wondering who all would be interested in meeting up on April 3rd for a small friendly tournament/meet and greet type deal.  Just wanted to put it out there and see what kind of interest there was.

How about $10 per person or $25 per boat

Biggest 5 bass sack or simply big bass

Winner takes all

Depending on weather we could decide where to launch as the day approaches

Y'all can change all or part ;)

I'm up for donating whatever ya'll want to do. Told the wife I would be gone a few days and she was fine with it(Not that it would have mattered though).

Catt, we need to invite Pat Miller to.

How about we do $25 a boat for the best stringer of 5 and $10 a person for big bass optional?  If we get over 10 boats we can pay other places for the stringer of 5, I can download that tourny management software that someone posted on the tournament forums and we can use that to do pay outs.

Its not a bassresource sanctioned event but Glenn has no problem with us organizing it on here.  So if you have friends or family that might be interested have them come.  I do not have scales so unless someone here does we will have to find a marina that will let us use thiers.  I was thinking Lowes Creek or Alpine though I do not know if Lowes has scales to use.

For the date we can do April 3rd from safe light till 3pm and then have a BBQ after.

what do you think of this?

Aww thats not too complicated just wanted to get some details out so people could make plans to be able to be there.

That's good to Catt. Like I said I'm ready. Just let me know who to pay, how much, when, and where.

Heck, let's do the Saturday and a half day on Sunday. Each day can be seperate with a total weight each day and BB each day.

Or, just go two day total and BB 1 & 2 for the weekend.

I don't want to get involved in handling a bunch of fish when we aint setup for it but Wesley you setup what ever you can easily handle; any help you need just ask Jack & I will be staying at 6-Mile.

Catt, our club owns the old TABC live release trailer with the glass sides. We use it for the Thursday evening tournament over on Rayburn. If some one wants to go hook it up and pull it to Toledo I'm sure we can use it. We need a lot more people for that though. This thing has all the aerators to do the job as well as pumps to fill it. We just back it down a ramp, throw the 6" hose off the back and it fills in about 5 minutes.

Well lets wait and see who all we have coming.  Right now we can just set a date and a place so people can make plans.

Do you want to do it down out of 6 mile, or somewhere areound mid lake area?

The set up to handle a 5 fish tournament isnt hard as long as people have thier own weigh in bags.  A plastic deepsink, and some good scales close to the water will keep the fish safe.

How many of y'all got a boat & are willing to bring it?

I think we should hold off on launch site until we know what the weather will be & trailering is an option.

I have a boat and my partner will most likely be my wife or brother.

I'm coming up Thursday night. Will bring my boat.

Catt, you can go ahead and add Mike Goodsen (Long Mike) from Tulsa to the list. He will have his boat to. He is at the Bassmaster University thing in Dallas this weekend so he cannot answer yet. I talked to him on the phone last night and he will be there.

I'll vote for either the 6 mile ramp or Fin & Feather Lodge for weighin. I would like it if we are allowed to trailer. Those fish up at Carrice Creek might just be willing to hit something.

I have a boat and my partner will be my wife.  I am not familiar at all with Six Mile area.  I would prefer somewhere near mid late like Alpine.  But let me know where the final launch is and I will work on getting there.  This sounds like fun.  The entry fee of $20 t0 $25 per boat sounds good to me as well.

I just checked my calendar.  April 3rd is Easter weekend.  We get together with the kids and grandkids on Easter.  Sorry, I am out.  Shoulda checked the calendar first!
