  1. Thank you sir.
  2. Oh no. Thoughts and prayers for his family. RIP Catt
  3. DITTO what Cat said. I prefer the lake to be down around 167. When it's up, all my trees dissappear. For many years the lake never reached full pool. In fact, the big drought around 2010-2012 was followed by some of the best fishing this lake has ever seen.
  4. Water temp yesterday was 48-49 says my neighbor. The boys catching the better fish are out there on the "lake" playing pac man over 30' of water.
  5. Place is SOLD! Y'all take care, and don't forget to laugh today.
  6. Hey fellas, I have a CAMP for SALE in Lowes Creek Campground. Older single wide mobile home (12x50) with covered porch. Wood framed metal roof built over trailer. 2BR, 1 bath. Window A/C unit in living and one bedroom. Propane heat in living room. Refrigerator, microwave, utensils, dishes, few pots and pans. Kitchen table and chairs. Recliner, good recliner! Small cheapo desk. Couple shelving units. TV stand, wired for SAT TV. Full size bed in one bedroom. 10x10 shed with washer and dryer, small workbench and a lot of shelf space. 12x26 boat shed with electrical. Full side walls, open ends. I've owned this Camp for 18 years. Probably the best spot in the campground. See the ramp from the porch. Since retiring we've built a new home close by and have finally moved in. Priced way more than fair for what it is. I would say the metal roof sheeting could be replaced. You will have to pay rent to Lowes Creek Park owner and be approved by her to proceed. Rent gets ya water, sewer, trash dumpster use, free boat ramp use. also a full kitchen in Pavillion right next to our place. I pay my own electric, telephone/internet, and SAT TV. $10k ----- Serious buyers send me a PM. Tight lines,,,,
  7. Catt, that’s the site I was talking about. It don’t give you no dates, just lists different tournaments. some of the dates say 2017, 2019,,,,,,?? Im looking for something that lists each month and a day , and all tournaments scheduled for that date. Lake Caster used to do it. like such >>> March 11 Bass Champs @ Cypress Bend March 12 Bubbas Classic @ Fin and Feather
  8. Lil help please. Where can I find a schedule for all the stinking tournaments? The T Bend website I used to use has gone to crap and the Lake Caster paper leans toward all the Rayburn stuff. Used to show the dates for every single tournament . I can’t find that info anymore.
  9. No, not even close. Be 4-5 days I’d guess, and we have more rain forecast next week.
  10. Well boys. Currently, Lowes Creek area is quite a mudhole as I'm sure all creeks are. So much for my love of throwing a Rogue for a good while. I also suspect the fish will scatter in the next few days compared to a week ago.
  11. Seems it should be dropping much more, especially if they Generating. I want to see 166 !!!! And so does one of my roadbeds.......LOL
  12. How y'all gettin along. Lake level has not been dropping a bit. I don't get it. They got to be releasing water from somewhere up river. Anybody know? Been 167.8 for over 3 days now. We ain't had a drop a rain and I don't believe theres been much up river either. ????
  13. You DANG RIGHT !!!
  14. yeah buddy, I know it's not just this creek, but it still don't make me feel real warm and fuzzy,, LOL. I have found in recent years, that the best way for me to deal with the Spring crowds is to just go Crappie fishin. That's what getting old and mellow does I reckon.
  15. That's a great story on how the pickup Victory went! I am really struggling out on the pond. Arthritis keeps me from going out in the mornings, but after 3 afternoon-evenings of pretty hard fishin I've had :::: 1) 3 bites on 3/4 oz trap, main lake from the Jam north of Polly Gouch, to "behind Alpine" NO fish landed. 2) five shorts, four were Kentucky's 3) yesterday evening from 3-6, ONE keeper largemouth in 2' on junebug baby brush hog, T rigged with a 3/16 weight. My place is in Lowes Creek, and I even hate to mention that, because it is like F'n PARADE going on in here. Boat after boat after boat after boat, all fishin the same creeks, pockets and shorelines. Crowds aggravate me in general, so Spring fishin is always a challenge on my head. Nine hunnerd rods on deck and still can't figger em out. I'm ready for em to get offshore. I've also spent around 2-3 hours of dragging and pitching a 1/16oz crappie jig for a total of 2 stinking fish. I wish y'all better results than I've had. Be safe, I've seen boats running in and out of here in places that would make their nutts run up their throats if they knew what they were runnin over.
  16. Holy chit ! That is unbelievable man. Congratulations I am hoisting a frosty beverage in your honor right now Catt. ? What a man, lucky as a 2 peckered goat. I stick my my head in a barrel of titties and come out suckin my thumb.
  17. Ridges with grass you say....... care to elaborate on that?
  18. There's miles of brush. The problem is right now there's too much water behind it. The closer to the bank you find it the better. I see lots of places that has a good 10-20 feet of water between the outside edge of the brush and the bank. Depends on where exactly you are at, but some of that water may be 2-3 ft deep. Perfect to make a nest and not allow access to Mister Fisherman.
  19. Hahaha. I am struggling beyond belief. Not a bite this morning, not a BITE. I fished several different baits at depths of 2-14'. I hate the Spring bank beating and it looks like I should not have gave up on my offshore spots so soon. I'm not even seeing any fish move around up shallow. Caught a 3 1/2 in about 4' yesterday evening after the NINE MILLION tournament fishermen got off the pond. But it's strange not be catching the buck bass shallow on a weightless senko and that has not happened for me. My camp is in Lowes and it has been beat to death and back.
  20. Great report Fanatic, thanks. I do NOT like the pond @ 172 plus. All my trees disappear. 167 is where I like it.
  21. First thing ya need to know is how to pronounce "Polly Gowch". That creek will muddy up big time with any amount of rain, but, I wouldn't let that run you outta there. It's also one of the better creeks to get out the wind the way it lays out.
  22. I can't see the contour depth at the very bottom, but the "hump" I see here is @ 19' just off the road bed. ?
  23. :'( :'( Jack pased away on Jan 18th http://www.lairdfh.net/index.cfm
  24. Thanks Jack, but I'm gonna go like hell til I can't. Had plenty pain pill days prior to my hip replacement. This deal is just a muscle pull and will be good in time I hope, still got the degenerative discs to deal with though. > I know you got a rough go at it yerself. Hell I'm still a year shy of 50 and brokedown.
  25. Been here since Sunday and ain't hooked the boat up yet, crummy weather and been on injured reserve since I got here. Pulled a muscle in my back Saturday at the house and Monday thought it was a bit better. So I thought wrong, brought a new battery to replace my crankin battery. I completed the task of hoisting that d**n thing out and in Monday mornin and made the back worse. Might get out tomorrow afternoon, gotta go home Friday. Next trip planned is first week of December. We ain't caught no water, still have to go to the Mounds, can't launch here at Lowes. Be sure and let me know if you head this way first of December. Take care, TT
