  1. Congrats on the Victory Jack
  2. I know of someone that had to get the back tandem off the ramp at Fin&Feather two weeks ago.
  3. found out today, we have company comin up tomorrow for the weekend, looks like I'll have to be crappie fishin. If something changes I'll hook up with y'all somehow, if not... hopefully there will be another time. Good fishin to you all.
  4. 2 fish yesterday on a Fluke, 5-6' water, scattered coontail. Didn't get a hook in a couple bank runners in the bushes on a blk/blu tube jig. Fished from 0830 - 1230. On the porch today for sure, it's plum nasty out there. I hope my "catching" improves tomorrow and the rest of the week, it's not been real kind to me this year so far.
  5. your Club tourney will add to the 600+ boats that will be out there on Fri & Sat for the TX Oilmens. That means there will be approximately 1200 spinnerbaits thrown each of those days. makes me wanna do a jig.
  6. heckuva day Catt , I ain't heard any reports NEAR that good. We are struggling, fished from 1230 - 1730 and had 3 bites in Lowes, 1 flippin a senko in the bushes and 2 on a spinnerbait that came late in the day. There is more and more water between the bushes and the bank everyday.
  7. good for you Wesley, that's a good show, congrats
  8. sure hope the action picks up before the 1st of March cuz I'll be headed that way. ;D
  9. I believe ole Joslin reports catchin fish on a spinnerbait only on days that end in Y.
  10. I received a similar report for Saturday afternoon. Mid lake area, ZERO bites, some dead shad, water temp was 37* @ boat ramp , noted suspended fish, but could not entice a bite. This coming from a pretty darn good fisherman.
  11. The Galley is a madhouse on Friday nights. Dey come out the woods. Don't plan on draggin yer boat, barely room to park vehicles.
  12. best grub in the area is Fishermans Galley on LA side just across the bridge, but Friday nights is their all you can eat seafood and the place is JAM packed. Messcun food place next to DQ in Hemphill has an area in the back that would seat quite a few folks. ???
  13. I would certainly like to hook up with one or both of you someday. My camp is at T Bend so 99% of my time fishing is spent there. However, Conroe isn't much more than an hour North of me and would be handy for a day trip when time doesn't allow me to get up to T Bend. I have been on Conroe 1 time and that was over 20 yrs ago, so I'd really just like to learn to run the lake to start with. The only other thing that has kept me from venturing up that way is HWY 45. I HATE draggin the boat through Houston. Used to ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers in New Waverly years ago and there was a "break" between Houston and Conroe. What used to seem like "out in the Country" is no more. Seems like city all the way to Conroe now. :'(
  14. can I play? all goes as planned I'll be at the lake on the 27th.
  15. no good for me, workin nights
  16. here at the lake doing some electrical work for my podna, been rainin since one this mornin. Heard talk in the campground of a 9+, two 7's, and a few between 4-6lbs caught yesterday. Didn't actually talk to the fishermen but pretty certain they were in the Housen area.
  17. well I made it through all 43 pages and I'll say it was very interesting and informative reading, thanks to Catt and all others. Keep it up

  19. Hello, new member here. After reading some of Catts post on T Bend I figger I ought to join this site for sure. Wesley, if yer the fella I think, I'm the one at Lowes Creek that gave you some equipment for the Take a Soldier Fishing event you were involved in. I hope to meet you folks someday on the water or off.
  20. 1st post here, hope to learn some things and maybe contribute some too, along with just hangin with good ole fishin folk. I live 20 mi North of Galveston but have a mobile home in Hemphill on Toledo Bend. Tight Lines
