Quick name Texas's top 3 trophy lakes before reading

Was just surfing the net and was looking at Texas's share a lunker website and in the 2009-2010 season the top public lakes were:

Amistad-4 fish all in the 13lbs range

Falcon- 2 fish a 13 and a 14

Fork- 3 fish two 13 and a 15.6

and the BEST LAKE IN TEXAS based on SHARE A LUNKER is........................................................

O. H. Ivie

11 total bass, yes that is right eleven were caught from the O.H. Ivie to be used in Texas's share a lunker program.  One was a 16lber, two were in the 14lb. range and the rest were 13lbs.  That is more than Falcon, Amistad, Fork, and Choke Canyon combined  :D

O.K. Texans tell me why you keep telling us to go to Amistad, Falcon, Fork, or Choke Canyon (One 15lber, for share a lunker), is it the State's honey hole or what?  ;)

What's amazing Catt is that 11 of the 17 came this year, must be on a boom cycle.

What's amazing is entries are only accepted from October 1 April 30 or 6 months out of the year, there is 13 pound plus bass caught the rest of the year as well. Then like I said add in bass 10 pounds & up; no other state can touch those statistics period.

Texas Redneck Bubba Bass Fishing :D

Yeah, I know.  There are bigger fish than that right now swimming under the ice. Promise.

I would love for you to show us all how it's done. In case you haven't heard, there is a little get-together in Kentucky in April.

We'd be glad to have you.

Hands down for consistent trophy size large-mouth Texas is king, California wins the ultra-big race , BUT........

WITHOUT FLORIDA STRAIN LARGE-MOUTH BEING INTRODUCED INTO EACH STATE BOTH STATES WOULD PALE IN COMPARISON TO FLORIDA!

Basically Texas and California anglers are fishing for Native or Hybridized Florida Bass, nothing wrong with that since people hunt pen raised deer and birds all the time, but in my book if it ain't native to the area an asterisk should be placed by the record stating so.

SO CAN I GET A THANK YOU FLORIDA, from all you big Tex and Left Coast anglers?

Florida is far from meticulous for keeping records but here is a nice article on Florida's  top "unofficial"  record large-mouth.

I just mapquested Hemphill to the Moors in Kentucky.  Should take you about 10 or so hours to get there.

My trip from PA to KY lasts 13 hours.

More than welcome.  I am sure there are quite a few people that would like to meet you.
