Canadian fishing trip.

Featured Replies

New to this forum site, and this is my first posting. My neighbor, friend and fishing partner are trying to plan a trip to Canada this coming season (June 09). We're looking for an area with remote fishing for bass and pike. I've fished Canada a number of times in Quebec, Georgian Bay and once in Northern Manitoba, but my partner has never been there.

Neither of us can afford an expensive fly in trip this time. so we're looking for a good drive in lodge (from Pittsburgh, Pa.) that offers good fishing for both species.

Number one on my list so far is Lunge Lodge. It seems to offer good bass, pike, walleye and even Muskie fishing, and the price is consistant with what we're looking for.

If anybody has any better ideas or knows anything about  Lunge Lodge, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Hey bilbil,

in Quebec you might want to check out "La Reserve Beauchene" a truly amazing drive-in location, sm bass, huge northerns, and tons of wallye. its not cheap but the fishing is great.

you may also want to think about Vermont, lake champlain has some real good fishing for bass, pike, trout, salmon

keep your hooks sharp & your beer cold !

Try Totem Lodge in Northwestern Ontario on Lake of the Woods.  Fantastic smallie fishing.  Fly-in quality pike and walleye fishing.  Some lake trout too, if you want.  I have a couple buddies that used to quide for Totem.  Top notch people and facilites.

Good luck on finding your trip.

O boy do I have some good info for you, Last summer me my brother and my uncle did a Canadian fly in trip and it was a blast. Caught a ton of walleye and pike. We did alot of research and found a place that was relatively cheap ~850 a person which was alot cheaper compared to some that were $1500+. http://www.tamarac.ca/ that is the website to the place, we were on Lake Hebert.
