I Know you all feel bad for me..But Im headed to cancun Mexico with some friends who own a house on a reef cove on the out skirts of cancun....I have about every bass bait known to man but dont know what to take with me..and what # test line......Im thinkin swimbaits, Flukes, Jerkbaits.....Any Ideas from your expierence would be appreciated........Oh ya Im not fishin for bass but saltwater fish

If you're headed to Cancun, leave the tackle at home.

Unless you plan to hire a charter and get out in the sea, you

are wasting your time.

There are many species of fish you can catch with your regular bass gear, fish like bonefish or redfish ( "Curvina" in Spanish ) don 't require heavier gear than M/MH rods and 8-12 pound test, you can catch those with bass baits.
