fishing1971
Hello from Australia, and what a great site you guys have. I've spent most of my time chasing Australian Bass and Barramundi down under but I recently went to PNG chasing their mighty Black Bass. I've just written a story for an Australian fishing magazine which I will place on your website once it is published. Cheers and tight lines from down under Australia! Super User Micro Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Share Posted June 10, 2009 Man, what a cool place to fish. I've always wanted to go to PNG. Mainly because of my interest in WWII history. But the fishing must be incredible. That fish reminds me of a snapper. Are they good to eat?
0119
They are a snapper, they are just called black bass or spot tailled bass or Nuigini Bass. Much like Aussies use the term mullet, trout or cod. Not the same types of fish those names mean to us. Great Blog, what a great place to be an angler!
