Cold water river lures

Featured Replies

im planning on going fishing tomarrow on a very large river in which the temps. range from 30-35 degrees and the ice fisherman are hammerin the big bass(on an inlet) the river part is completly open and i was wondering what bait should i use for moderate moving, 35 degree water. I heard alot about spinnerbaits and jigs. But what works best?

I like bucktail jigs on rivers in cold water.

Hair jigs or jerks. Good luck

Hare jigs, small tubes, drop shot and crankbaits are what I have seen work in water with those temps.
