I have a feeling that bass season is about to begin here in the Northeast....55 degrees TWO days this week.   Get ready guys down South...the hibernation is over!!!

Don't know where you are but the forecast for this area of PA is 50's one day then 30's and SNOW for the rest of the week

Making my first scouting trip tomorrow  I'm sure she's still got a top on but I want to see how close we are.  I'm sure we are in much better shape than last year.

Took my dog out yesterday afternoon for a scouting trip instead of my usual trout fishing afternoon (trout bite has SUCKED lately).

All of the really small ponds are almost ice-free, and the bigger ones are 1/3 open, and the ice that is there is thin and slushy.  Should be able to go bass fishing this weekend!!!

A foot of snow in less than a week here in NH. Guess we're too far north and not far enough east. :-/

yep. looks like we're getting close. Low 40s and rain this week in my area. Only problem is it's still forcast to dip into the teens and low 20s during the nights this week. Still it's looking better than I thought it would this early in March.

The old saying goes if March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb. Hopefully that true since it came in with 7 inches of snow for me. lol Should be pretty nice towards the end of the month.

The toughest part, for me anyway, is that when the ice finally disappears,......the wind shows up. >

haha in Maine we arent even close....ice fishing for at least all of this month we still got 3-4ft of snow on the ground..total snowfall is probly close to 125 inches

This rain is a good/bad thing

BUT

The rain makes it harder to fish

The warmest weather is this week and its raining most of it..

I caught one yesterday

My buddy caught one today

I would trade this rain for high winds and all day sunshine which equals warmer water

Spring ya say?  Mother nature is a cruel old woman with a horrible case of dementia.

I seen a Robin on Fri, he was wearing a scarf and holding a sign that said will work for earth auger.

we had 50's and rain on Monday the 3rd but those days are seemingly long gone with snow and freezing temps as far as my DirecTV can predict.

Ive got the cure for Mother nature and her partner Old man winter tho...

Delta Airlines and about 25000 lbs of jetfuel taking me south in a week.

my honey hole is about 3/4 clear....problem is i only have permission to fish on part of the pond that is covered in ice...one of my other spots only has about 1/8 of an inch of ice right now...soon enough!!

Walk on the ice and cast off to the open water

My buddy and I see 2 guys ice fishing on the lake today

1 of them was fishing 100 yards from open water, I figured either the guy was stupid or he was catching monster fish.

There is no way I would be out there especially so close to open water
