I am from MA, but I am going to visit a buddy in PA to do some fishing.  Looking for any information on hot spots and types of fish in water.  I do know PA has a bass season, was wondering best time to go down.  I was thinking late may or June.  Thanks for the help.

They may be a little far from Allentown but both the Delaware and the Susquehanna offer great Smallmouth fishing.

Blue Marsh is close to Allentown. Then 45 minutes away is Beltzville.

Yes Beltsville would be a great lake to go to.  Also Take 78 east my way you'll hit 3 large resivoirs  Merill Creek  Spruce Run and Round Valley.  This is NJ so you will need a 2 day pass for $10.00

Try the Lehigh river, there is a nice ramp where Rt 33 crosses it.  the Delaware river is very close. Lake nockamixon is close it has a 20hp limit on motors.

Beltzville is very hard to fish.

The Susquehanna has incredible smallmouth fishing.

When are you planning on visiting the Lehigh Valley?  It would be easier to give some recommendations if we knew when.
