Sorry for the offtopic post. New to the site just wondering if any other Kentuckians thought it was odd were listed under Northeast? Couldnt find Ky for awhile. Felt a little out of place. Ha just wondering.

Well, it's borderline geographically and I doubt anyone in Kentucky

considers themselves a New England-er, but we had to make some

arbitrary decisions when creating the sections. "Central" is not to

helpful either with the significant climate disparity between Minnesota

and Texas, etc. Of the four sections, "Southeast" includes states with

the most commonality. Maybe Kentucky belongs there, south and east

of Chicago!

So, the real answer is: Our regional selections are somewhat arbitrary.

I think it was determined by the makers of the lake map memory card that go into the GPS/fish finder.

i coulda swore ky was below the mason-dixon. but then again i dont think ohio belongs in the northeast either.
