Blue is THE COLOR, chartreuse accents or all chartreuse is

another very  productive color. Shallow cranks, including lipless

cranks; Shak-e2 jig heads with the trailer of your choice (Rage

Tail Lobster or GYCB Kut-Tail are good choices); spinnerbaits

(chartreuse); and a jig (black with blue trailer) are all you need.

Fish are both shallow and a little deeper (12'). Humps, roadbeds

and points around the mouth of coves and arms were always

productive. Some had great luck flipping lay downs and isolated

cover. Fish every dock!

Are they spawning yet?

Most reports say the brownies are but not the LM's yet. They should be by the time we get there, hopefully.

Thanks for the tips RW, we'll be sure to post up and let you know how we did.  8-)

Yup, blue is the color, but I didn't use it once and had 100+ fish days so......

We caught on everything under the sun and on a wide variety of colors. Grn pumpkin, white and watermelon got it done and Bubble gum was hot too.

The trick, as Big O likes to point out is that you should change up your colors when the bite dies off. Doesn't really matter which color you put on as long as it's different from the last one you used. If you used light and the bite slows up,...go dark next

When I get to a lake that is known for a particular color,....it's the LAST color I will throw.  I'd rather offer the fish something it doesn't see repeatedly, every day.

It's a great lake to find a pattern on though, as many of the coves and points are duplicated over and over again, up and down the shore. Find one, you'll find more, good luck :)
