Scenting Plastics

I always scent my baits, especially plastics, while on the water.

I also will put scent on my baits the evening before I go fishing.

My questions is...can you "over-scent" your plastics by allowing them to soak in scents for too long, such as two or three days?

I am also curious if you guys scent your favorite plastics the evening or day before you go fishing.

Thanks for the feedback.

I don't ever soak my baits overnight but not because there's anything wrong with it. I always use Bang Garlic, in the aerosol spray can, and I just give my bait a quick spray whenever I think I need to.

Right now, Carolina Lunker Sauce.

But I use Jack's Juice and others during the year.

I apply Fish Formula II mixed with a ½ oz of pure anise oil to all my plastics except craw worms which I add RealCraw.

Once took a bottle of Uncle Josh's pork chunks and poured out the liquid that comes in the bottle replacing it with RealCraw. Put it in my tackle box and forgot about it for several months; one night while the bite was slow I noticed the bottle and rigged up a jig. Caught 5 bass in the 4-6 pound range and was broke off twice. Was it the RealCraw? Don't know and don't care! It worked!
