Too far north to call So IL (aka Gods country) :) I fish Crab Orchard, DK, Little Grassy, Cedar and Kincaid primarily.

And I'm smack dab in the middle  ;D

I'm about an hour away from Clinton and 80 mins from Shelbyville. I also hit up Evergreen Lake from time to time, as well as Walnut Point State Park, which has a little lake that holds plenty of bass.

I fish lake springfield sometimes. only because it's close.. I live in Chatham. would rather fish some of the other power plant lakes..

Too many ponies for the powerplants.  Will prob try to hit Kincaid a couple of time next year.  Pretty long drag but, I hear it's worth it.

Hey Nibbles where in Walnut Point are you talking about?  Is there a smaller separate pond from the main lake?

I have fished a tourney at Springfield and did alright...

If you want a smaller lake that has a HP restriction try Lake Sangchris in Springfield...  I think it has a 20hp restriction...

And you forgot Lake of Egypt for the year round fishing!

It's the main lake. Small is relative I guess. There's a channel that runs through the lake into the dam near the boat rental place - tons of bass along that channel hiding in the vegetation. There's a nice deep point along there too that I caught one fish on.

I fish Baldwin and Cofeen in the winter. I heard that Lou Yaeger wasn't worth it.
