Had a pretty good weekend out. Was up in Maine with the Wife's family and fished from sun up to sun down Friday, Saturday and Sunday until about 5pm. Hammered them. Caught another 5lb Smallie, as well

  • Hey, thanks, I'll have to check that out. On another note. Today I got out to two different places, and got 26 more bass. They ranged from 1.5 lbs, to 6lbs 4oz. Got 9 this morning on topwater (Rage Sh

Kevin, go to the bridge that splits the lake on rte 28, plenty of parking and easy to put in. I have always had more luck on the left side after you put in, but both sides offer plenty. Good luck.

hey kevin, be careful launching i dont think you can touch the water because its a drinking supply, i could be wrong. The boat launch gets full quick so getting there early might be a good idea. Good luck let us know how it goes!

Nice rig Klubba, how did you do at Kingston Lake, I didn't get out till Sunday morning but only managed a few small ones.

Hey Matt. I was focussing more on my boat that day than fishing. 1st boat so I was trying to learn everything I needed to know. Did manage to catch a couple bass though. One was 1 ounce shy of three pounds. He put up a good fight for his size. The other was a dink but had a huge snapping turtle chasing him while I was reeling him in. The snapper came to within 2 feet of my boat. Wish I got a pic of the turtle.

I made it to Flints pond in Hollis this morning for 2 1/2 hours with the canoe.

nothing , nadda , zippo , zilch. Milfoil seems like it is gone but a lot of other weeds in many spots

Fished both sides and the back end lilly pads.

Honestly Flints is hit or miss. I really have never done well there. Have u fished Mill pond in Nashua lately? I have yet to get a fish out of there. I use to kill'em there to.

I can't beleive how dead this thread is. Is everyone still fishing? I'm gonna head tomorrow with the wife in the AM.

i had 2 good days at rocky pond hollis ,and 1 good day at crooked pond and some nice ones at the pennichuck. i have a borrowed camera i need to get picks out of just need a cord to do it.

cell phone with other good pics at the bottom of naticook.

It's been a while since I've posted - mainly because it has been a while since I've been bass fishing. Had some free time tonight and I'm glad I used it to go fishing.

Got this beauty on a white Yum Money Frog. He just exploded on it, and then proceeded to wrap me around every lily pad in sight while taking me for a ride in the kayak. Thank you 40# Suffix.

Scale said 5 lbs. 3 oz.

Picked up another in the 2-3 pound range, but couldn't get to my scale or camera without risking a swim.

Hey guys been real busy with things other than fishing. However went on a Vaca with girlfriends family upto Maine. Caught my first 2 landlocked Salmon ever and a toad of a LM bass in teh 4.5-5lb range came on a Spro Frog with 40lb braid.

Well I tied my PB today with this beauty 6lbs 12oz. I also caught four others in the range of 1.5 to 3.3lbs range. Great day on the water. Wooo Hooo!!!!!

Nice fish UNH!

Thanks. Now I'm trying to find the 7.

wow UNH, that thing is a hawg! If you dont mind me asking, was it from the same place as your 6-12 from last year?

Thanks. Yes, but it was two years ago. Last year my biggest was a little over 4 pounds at Flints. Man I hope I can get a 7 pounder. Very tough to find them.

Got out yesterday in the 97 degree heat do fish with my buddies in a friendly tourney to see who could catch the biggest fish. Caught six in all,but here was the biggest 3lbs 2oz and I won. Good times!!!

Went to Kingston Lake last night. Got there an hour before sunset. Caught 3 bass on my 1st 4 casts. Then when the sun set the bite seemed to die completely and I only got 1 more bass. Pics of the biggest (4lbs. 2oz.).

So I saw that NHbassmaster2 and fmoore killed it at Spofford lake early this spring each with 5+ pound smallies, nyxstyx got a 5-3 largemouth two weeks ago, and UNHbass37 has posted the biggest fish of the season on the forum weighing in at a respectable 6-12, but has anyone else had any luck with big bass this year? I feel like 2 summers ago there were nearly a dozen 5+ pounders posted by this time.

Almost every time I have gone out this year I have gotten a limit of 1.5-2 pounders but not much at all over 3 pounds. Just seeing if anyone else has been having the problem of only catching average sized fish and not many pigs this year.

I'm sure they're out there, but the big ones do seem to be a bit harder to come by this year. I think it's partly a combination of a cold wet spring and a hot dry summer.

Nope, I'm not having any problem at all catching the bigger fish this year. In fact, just a couple days ago, I caught a 6 on a new lake. I'm not gonna tally my numbers right now, but I definitely have over 20 5+ pound fish so far this year. Try fishing bigger baits, and where the bigger fish will be, and you will see yourself catching bigger fish in no time.

Wow, sounds like you've been having a great season so far then. Ill take your advice with trying some bigger baits and ill post if I get any big ones

I went out yesterday to a few places and caught nothing. Tried Beaver Lake in Derry - nothing, Lake Massabesic in auburn - nothing, and Tower hill Pond in Candia and nothing. I used top water, spinner baits, plastic worms/minnows and still nothing. Maybe it was the wind or maybe it was the heat not sure.

Wow. I only place I can understand that you won't catch much of anything is beaver lake as it is mostly fished for trout only. The rest of the places you should of caught something. Might have just been to windy though. Keep at it. Good luck.
