Reaction Strike Fathead Jr.

Featured Replies

My original intentions were to try and find the basstrix paddle tail tube baits but no luck....anyway I've seen the Reaction Strike Fathead Jr.'s and was thinking they look pretty decent. Paycheck is coming and is already burning a hole in my pocket does anybody have any info on Fathead Jr. baits, if they are comporable to the basstrix or poor boys or any other suggestions.

have 3 packs havent used one yet. need to find a better hook for it than the ones i ordered.

I've seen them online, but haven't fished them.  They appear to have a less exaggerated tail versus the Luck E Strike paddle tail tube, which I consider the gold standard at this point.  I plan on ordering some and rigging them on a scrounger head...

Here's the Luck E Strike Bass Magic.  It has a thicker wall to it, and it doesn't like to fall straight unless you have them weighted down alot, other than that, it looks great in the water.  Still has the bad smell  though.

That video highlights the Luck E Strikes awesome swimming action, but the heavily weighted hook they are using causes it to nose dive.  I've found that a 1/8oz weighted hook provides the natural action I desire.

They is actually me in all the videos.  There wasn't enough time to optimize each bait, so I used the same weighted hook for every one.  It was a 1/4 oz Owner twistlock hook.  I didn't try the 1/8 oz for the bass magic, but I tried using it on others and it caused them to rotate in the water.

Nice videos.  I just watched most of them.

Nice to be able to see how a bait moves in the water before I buy it.

In your videos the money minnow definitely looks the best

Is there anyway to slow down your retrieve on these? I find that a slower retrieve imparts more action into the tails...could just be me...I use the swim senko alot and the vid doesn't show the wide swinging action I'm seeing with a slower retrieve

I had a weighted hook on the swim senko so that I could show that it'll kick when it's falling, but only if it falls faster.   Without weight or with less, you can reel it slower and get a bigger kick to it.
