Royal Palm Beach Fishing

Has anyone in ever fished the lakes at Royal Palm Beach Blvd. about 1/4 north of Okeechobee Blvd.?  I believe there is a boat ramp behind the Miami Subs....

I have and I've pulled fish out of there. But there is no ramp there.

I'll have to check with our marine unit to find where the ramp is.  We're going if I find it so get ready.

I lived in Royal Palm for a long time, until about 5 years ago. The system of canals and small lakes is very productive. I am going to fish there sometime this season.

There used to be a makeshift ramp about a mile and a half north of the Miami Subs on R.P. Blvd. It was on the west side of a bridge that crossed a canal. I think it has since been torn down.

We used to use a small boat that could be carried.

Thanks.  Our marine unit patrols out there but I don't know where they launch from.  The lake/canal system looks very productive.   But looks can be deceiving.

I always like to eat there and cast a few lures.  There are some nice bass in that area.  I believe that the Miami Subs is under new management.. I was dissappointed the last time that I was there because it wasn't open.
