Florida Schools Need Suggestions Plz

Featured Replies

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew of any decent schools in Florida that offer exercise science, or something very similar to this. I live in New Hampshire now and am going to Manchester community college and am studying exercise science, its my first year in college. I would like to be able to transfer to a decent (but cheaper school, hence the community college now) school offering the same degree in exercise. I am picking florida because theres a lot of gyms i could work at as a personal trainer which is what i am looking to do with my life. Also i have vacationed in florida just about every year with my parents and absolutely love it especially the temps way better than NH. also being able to fish all year round will definately be a plus ;)... Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Dave

Florida State has an excellent exercise science program.  That is my cousin's major and he enjoys the program.

I have another cousin that is in PT school at UF...but i wouldn't go there  :P

Don't let Roseangler get you rapped up in petty interstate school rivalries.

Both UF and FSU stink go to University of Miami. ;D

Yeah, go to the University of Miami and get shot. Or at least spend four years looking for someone that speaks English.

I can't speak to Gainesville, but I just moved to Tallahassee after eight years in south Florida and I couldn't be happier. I'm enrolling in TCC, which is one of the better community colleges in the nation. Tally is definitely worth checking out.

BTW, my first semester's tuition is $1053.50 and I'm taking 15 hours.

I'm not sure what they actually offer but check out Daytona Beach College. They used to be Daytona Beach Community College but recently became a full fledged college. I believe their website is dbc.edu

Obviously tallydude doesn't realize that I was kidding around.

And as far as community colleges theres a bunch of good schools starting in south Florida all the way up to the panhandle. For what you do you may find more work down south in an urban area.

They eat a lot fried chicken in Tallahassee, and they aren't big on exercise.

Nah, I didn't bro. Sorry if that came off harsh. After my time down there, I'm just glad to be out.

I don't know about an exercise program...but....Weber International U is on Crooked Lake and they have a fishing team.  If I was going to do it again, that is where I would enroll.
