another snap question

Featured Replies

i have been using snaps on crankbaits for a few years now and was wondering how many of you also remove the o rings on the baits..the original article i read said to remove  the o rings and use snaps...it was a few yrs back but i probably read the article from bassmasters or infisherman

I leave the split ring on, I think the snap + split ring makes for some good action.

I leave the split ring on, too, if it's a medium to large crank.  It won't effect it to any real extent.  I sometimes remove them on little cranks I use for panfish.

Per instructions on the Norman Speed clip it states to remove the split ring and directly snap to the eyelet of the lure. I have not tried them yet so I dont know how it effects the action. I am heading out tomorrow we will see.
