I grew up fishing Charlie Elliot. It consists of 22 small lakes and ponds that have great bass fishing.

Lake Varner is another one. It is a true monster producer.

There's Tribble Mill, Stone Mountain, Black Shoals and many others.

You must be tired of catching all those 8 pounders  ;)

I used to live in Clayton county and there are a couple of nice reservoirs there: Blaylock, Shamrock, and J.W. Smith. P'tree city has a lot of little lakes too.

You should fish Murphy Chandler Lake, there are some HUGE fish in there! ;D

Going to Temple the week of Thanksgiving to visit our younger daughter.   About 40 miles west of Atlanta.  We take exit 24 off I-20

Hope to get in some fishing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Don't know if I'll take my canoe, so places with boat rentals would be in order.

Our daughter trains hunting dogs and operates a Kennel.  I've got her doing some homework for me as well.  A couple of her clients do some competitive fishing.

When I'm not here at school I live in Suwanee/Cumming, Ga. I've fished lanier once with little luck, but that was due to lack of knowledge. No boat though so most of the time I fish whatever ponds I can find.
