FL guide?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys

I'm honeymooning in florida next month and looking to do some fishing with the soon to be wifey.

I'll be close to Orlando. Any advice on guides, ect?

Thanks!

agreed, stick marsh is about an hour away from orlando, and is well worth it... Hire the very well known guide George welcome, and have an awesome experience you won't forget.

If you decide on Lake Toho, which is close to Orlando, Capt Kip Grunlow is a good guide.

Central Florida, specifically Orlando is chuck full of lakes, but if you don't mind a short trip call George as your Stick Marsh, Farm Pond, or Ansin Garcia guide to go to.

Disney Lakes are PACKED!  Years ago I use to fish them before a guide service on the lake was started.  The canals and lakes in and around Disney property is bass heaven.

Thanks guys! I'm trying to do a little research on the guides before I book. If anyone has any other suggestions keep them coming!

I have never fished with George Welcome but he is well thought of on this site for these lakes.

If you want to fish Lake Okeechobee I have hired Capt. Harry Simmons 6 or 8 times and have had a good time and caught many fish with him each trip. You can contact him at captharry@comcast.net

Call George Welcome.   I know he has good reels.   :)
