kayak fishing gloves

Featured Replies

i figured i'd ask here as i know alot of you NoVA guys fish from kayaks.

i need a good cold weather glove for kayak fishing this spring. i dont mind paying more for a thin, good quality glove. my main concern is sensitivity and dexterity in the fingers. what do you recommend?

thanks in advance.

A lot of yaking guys I know use Glacier Gloves, personally I use wool mittens that fold back.

I also use seal skinz gloves too but dexterity is a tad bit of an issue there.

X2 on the mittens. You can get neoprene mittens that fold back to fingerless glove at some watersports retailers.  REI had them last time Iwas theree for abou $34.

What works better is a mitt deal that fits over the shaft, and you simply reach in and grab the shaft.  That way, you can wear lighter fishing gloves.  I can't remember the brand name, but search for kayak gear, you'll find them.
