The 2011 Richmond Fishing Expo will be held at the new State Fair Fairgrounds in Caroline County adjacent to Kings Dominion on January 28th through 30th.

Should make it easier for people to attend the event and to visit Green Top, BPS and Gander Mountain.

Hope there are more vendors next year.

Mark your calendars.  :)

ill be there thanks iv never been to one what does it consist of sam ? :D

It consists of a lot of vendors; guys walking around with their professional bass fishing shirts; Denny Brauer as the featured speakers; other seminar speakers; lots of bass boats to look at; manufacturer reps to speak with; George from GMCO maps to meet and see all of his great maps; and meet guides.

Green Top has their sale the same weekend and you can visit Green Top, too.

The best part of the show is to meet the guides and pro fishermen and speak with the vendors about their products.

Worth the trip to Kings Dominion off exit 104 on I-95.  ;)

Thanks Sam,

I have been wanting to go to one of these for a long time and I have marked those dates in my reminder.

Nitro, worth the trip as Green Top usually has their sale at the same time.

Green Top also has had the Shimano factory reps at their sale and you can talk to the guys about Shimano products.

You can stop by BPS at exit 89 off I-95 and see the new Nitros or take exit 86 and hit Green Top and then take a left at the traffic light when leaving Green Top to get to Gander Mountain.  :)

Start saving now!

Dan,

I have been saving and waiting for the right boat for a couple of years now but every time I get enough money saved up something happens plus I already have a Nitro that I am restoring and hopefully I can pass that one on to my girls to have some fun with.

I could go out and buy the base model but to upgrade from there would cost me more after the purchase than it would to get what I would like to have when I purchase it.

Oh well if I can't get it so be it but at least I will still be styl'n and profil'n in my 500 dollar 170TF lol. ;D

PS: I posted some pics of it under boating and canoeing "show your ride" if your interested in seeing it on page 15.

That's one of the greatest things about BPS, Gander Mountain, and Green Top being all relatively very close to each other. Then there's Dick's right up the road from them.

The Fair grounds is only 15 minutes from my house. I will try to get out this year myself since I never been to one. Only thing I am mad at is January is far away from now. Now I have to wait for this and the new River Monster episodes. Patience is virtue they claim.

Naturally, I'll be there.  That alone should make it worth coming to  ;D.

I have to say 2010's Expo was less then expected.  And I didn't see any BR members there.
