Anyone live or fish in West Point. I know the country club there has some big bass in the little pond on the golf course. My grandparents live there, but are there any other nice lakes down there you guys have fished? 

I used to fish in West point back when my grandfather and uncle used to work at the paper mill.  For bass, those golf course ponds are about your only option, unless you know some farmers around there and can access cow ponds.

If you're up for something different, fish the saltwater creeks for croaker using bass tackle and live/cut bait.  I've seen croaker up to 5 lbs caught in west point.  They fight just like bass, and taste good.

yeah, all the other fishing around there is excellent, but lately I've been wanting to fish for bass some kinda bad, but you're right, I guess not many other lakes accessible there. It's a very small town and area. croaker fishing is excellent, especially this time of year. huge catfish as well
